Grant Park Security Patrol (GPSP)

  Grant Park Neigborhood Association (GPNA)

Grant Park Security Patrol (GPSP)
Unfortunately there was another smash and grab burglary yesterday afternoon. This happened about 2 pm in the 300 block of Orleans near Hill Street. The alarm was activated and the suspects grabbed some small jewelry items and got out of the house. There was not a GPSP officer on patrol at that time.

The burglary was across the street from the residence which captured the video of last year's flat panel TV burglary. While the clarity is not good enough to ID suspects, the vehicle is a white Pontiac and possibly a 2000-2002 Bonnevile sedan.

We will forward any additional details when they become available. As a follow-up on the burglary on Broyles, last week there was a first hearing in Fulton County Superior Court for one of those suspects. We will closely watch that case as it moves through the courts.

Please be alert for any vehicles making multiple passes around your block and always call 911 when something seems suspicious.

Thanks to all members for your continuing support. For the next six weeks we will be able to maintain the 30 hours per week based on this level of support.

Thanks,

Hello All,

The Zebra Field Trip to visit Farmer Sue and her baby lambs at the The Art Barn at Morning Glory Farm in Canton is  Wednesday, May 20, from 10:00am - 1:00 pm. The price is $10.00 per person.

The morning will include: A picnic (please bring your own food), a hayride, an art project, meeting all the animals and snuggle time with the baby lambs.

To find out more information and to take a "tour", please visit:  http://www.TheArtBarn.com

What to wear and what to bring:

Farmer Sue says ...
"Dress for the farm, wear comfortable shoes, bring a big smile, bring your camera and lots of film
and please don't park on the street!"

Please bring your own picnic lunch, a picnic blanket, germ gel & hand wipes (we have them both but encourage you to bring extras!).

Address and directions from downtown:

We will all ride separately and meet there. Carpooling is of course encouraged!

The Art Barn at Morning Glory Farm

Sticker club

Hey everyone,

Lucas & I have joined a sticker club and I wanted to see if any of you would
like to join as well.  Here's how it works.

I would send your child an invitation letter to join the club.  The
invitation letter will be addressed to your child and have two other
children's name/address at the bottom of the letter (#1 & #2).  You also
receive a blank letter for Step 2.

Step 1.  You (mommy or daddy) would need to mail one letter to child #1 with
a packet of stickers.

Step 2. You would then invite 6 other children to participate and use the
blank letter to move child #2 (Lucas) to child #1 position and put your
child down as child #2.

Step 3.  Wait for the letters to come in!  You have the potential to get 36
letters, all with stickers.

If this sounds fun, please send me your child's name and address and I'll
send you the invite.

Thanks!
Jay & Lucas

Good morning,

I received this information from the GA PTA.  This is a great opportunity to make it known to some of the decision makers that we are serious about our push to get healthier, more nutritious foods/beverages served to students in Georgia and across the nation.

If you can attend, please do so!  Also, please share this information with others that are working toward the same goal.

Witnesses will include representatives from:
-          the CDC
-          the USDA
-          Action for Healthy Kids, and
-          the National Farm to School Network

Hi Tigers.  As I'm sure you know, the GPPN Spring Fling is this Saturday.  This is the first event that the Tigers playgroup has taken responsibility for, and we want to support this event as brilliantly as the parents ahead of us have supported the past events that we have enjoyed.

I'm afraid that I'm to the point of begging for volunteers.  I need a few folks who are willing to sit behind a table from 11:00-12:00 or 12:00-1:00.  I know that it is a busy weekend, but please, please, please, please volunteer if you can.  We still need several volunteers to make this event a success.

To volunteer, contact me at melissa@melissamason.com.  Also, Aidy will welcome your participation in the bake sale.  Contact her at aidymayen@hotmail.com.
